Following the success of her exhibition at the PFDC Delhi, seasoned fashion designer Layla Chatoor launches her latest Eid Pret Collection in Karachi. The Collection will be available at a one day exhibition only at the brand’s Karachi studio on 8th July 2014, from 2pm to 4pm.
For her collection, Layla Chatoor has used distinct and detailed embroidery designs on luxe fabrics such as Indian Maheswari and Chikankari paired with distinctive crochet, laces and embossed cotton nets. The Collection also used tatami embroidered motifs, marrori work with fine chained stiches and the designer’s signature gaara filled thread work. Her color palette speaks of fresh tones in a predominant pastel theme.
Speaking about the exhibition, Layla Chatoor said “My Eid collection celebrates time honored embroidery techniques on luxe fabrics from Pakistan and India. This Collection will perhaps appeal most to women with an aesthetic passion for meticulous crafmanship and detailing in thread work”.
Having launched in 1994, the Layla Chatoor brand name has come to be synonymous with high quality bridal wear, luxury pret and occasion wear using rich, opulent fabrics such as tulle, lamé, silks and chiffons. Her forte lies in her unwavering attention to detail and meticulously researched motifs. Layla also produces luxury accessories to complement her ensembles using the highest quality leather, fabrics and gemstones.
