Pakistan’s much anticipated family festival-Masala Family Festival 2014, held at the Expo Centre Lahore culminated in thunderous applause by the audiences for the organisers. The two-day festival provided families with an opportunity to plan a perfect day-out, where they met their favourite Masala chefs, shopped to their hearts content, watched live cooking demonstrations by Masala chefs, and purchased autographed copies of their favourite cookbooks.
“We would like to thank all partners and the visitors for making the Masala Family Festival a huge success. HUM Network always takes initiatives to bring back the life that this country once had and Masala Family Festival has successfully proved that Pakistanis still love to have a good time with their families if provided a safe environment and quality entertainment,” said Sultana Siddiqui, President HUM Network Ltd.
The audiences were much enthralled with the live cooking demonstrations by all Masala chefs at different times during the two-day festival, which gave them a chance to interact with their favourite chefs. The highlight of this two-day event was the interactive session of Masala’s cooking experts at the Publications booth of HUM Network where they signed copies of their cookbooks and took pictures with audiences, resulting in a complete sell-out on day one.
The other highlight of Masala Family Festival Lahore was the kids’ arena, providing entertainment or kids of all ages. The huge and beautifully set-up kids’ arena had wide ranging fun rides, from jumping castles to floating ship to the Ferris wheel, merry-go-round, and train rides to keep them occupied.
Visitors also had a field day shopping as all major FMCG companies were part of the event, selling everything from household appliances, food items and crockery to jewellery, clothing and much more. To satiate the appetites of the visitors, the organisers had arranged for lots of food and drinks stalls as well. The visitors were also given a chance to win prizes including motorbikes, washing machines and other household appliances via lucky draws and various fun activities and games.
