“THE LOTUS SONG”SPRING/ SUMMER 2015 – LUXURY PRET
Inspired from ancient flora and fauna of Madhubani art of the Sub-Continent and Ikat print patterns of Indonesia, “The Lotus Song” introduces us to an enchanted world of beaded lotus flowers floating on a sea of silk, chiffon and net. Cool fresh summer hues of pastel pink, sage green, peaches and ice blue illuminate motifs of elephants and birds, fish and flowers, in a modern silhouette.
The collection consists of meticulously hand crafted embroidery of resham threads and gota intricately worked into patterns and then beaded with pearls and flowers using French knot, reverse stitch and Kitcha work technique. The collection is also enhanced through the use of customized Ikatpattern prints, incorporating the Madhubani motifs into Wardha’s own signature style.
