Fifth Consecutive PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week 2015: [#PLBW2015]: Announcing Participating Designers & Corporate Partnerships
[Lahore: 25th August 2015(PR)] The Pakistan Fashion Design Council [PFDC] in collaboration with L’Oréal Paris, the world’s leading beauty brand, reveal the names of participating fashion designers along with information on their corporate synergies for PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week 2015 [#PLBW2015] being held in Lahore from 16th September to 18th September 2015. The platform is set to define and present contemporary and traditional Pakistani Bridal fashion, while fusing hair and makeup trends to create looks for the upcoming bridal season of 2015-2016.
Designers showcasing at PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week will represent a diversity of Pakistan’s bridal aesthetics across 22 independent labels as full solo shows and capsule shows alike. To this end the 5th PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week will continue and indeed extend the PFDC’s commitment to nurturing new generations of Pakistani design talent. The PFDC’s continuation of Bank Alfalah’s Rising Talent Show facilitated by their long-term Official Banking Partners is indicative of this. Since its launch with the PFDC, Bank Alfalah Rising Talent Show has positively contributed to the development of Pakistan’s emerging design talent, introducing fresh design and retail platforms for the industry. To further this, #PLBW2015 will also witness the introduction of a new showcase, PFDC Introduces: New Bridal Designers: an independent and organic extension of the rising talent showcase. As the name suggests, this PFDC show platform will showcase the work of a selection of newer bridal designers in the industry as mentored and nurtured by the PFDC with each designer creating a capsule collection each featuring eight ensembles.
In terms of designer line, presenting collections at PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week 2015 are: Ali Xeeshan Theatre Studio, Ammara Khan, Asifa & Nabeel, Élan, Fahad Hussayn, HSY, Karma Red, Misha Lakhani, Nickie Nina, Nomi Ansari, Saira Shakira, Sana Safinaz, Sania Maskatiya, Shamaeel Ansari, Republic by Omar Farooq and The House of Kamiar Rokni. Additionally, the Bank Alfalah Rising Talent Show will comprise of 4 emerging bridal designers: Maheen Taseer, Zarmisha Dar, Faiza Saqlain, and JEEM by Hamza Bokhari. PFDC Introduces: New Bridal Designers will bring to #PLBW2015 capsule collections by Suffuse by Sana Yasir and Mahgul.

This year, the PFDC L’Oréal Paris team will also redefine both bridal hair and make-up, whilst the styling and makeup teams will present their trends for the season using L’Oréal Makeup Designer Paris and Excellence Crème products. The participating bridal week hair and make-up styling team for PLBW 2015 will be Nabila/NGENT.
In addition to this, L’Oréal Paris will be announcing the launch of their popular global smartphone application Makeup Genius, which can be used to test favourite make-up products on the phone screen to recreate looks before purchasing the products. L’Oréal Paris will also be publishing their signature newsletters each day of Bridal Week showcasing looks created by the PLBW make-up teams using L’Oréal Makeup Designer Paris products along with a special addition dedicated to Excellence Crème. This year L’Oréal Paris Excellence Crème will also showcase their ‘Legends Collection’ on the runway and host a celebratory event in tribute to the Legends. L’Oréal Paris skin care, hair care, hair color and makeup products will be displayed throughout the event to allow all bridal week attendees to experience their complete range. Renowned skin care brand, L’Oréal Paris Revitalift will also be hosting their annual collaborative lunch with PFDC.
In terms of further patrons and sponsors, the success of PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week continues to prompt private sector associates to grow in their engagement of the platform to launch new products, marketing campaigns and promotional activities sharing a common vision with the PFDC to develop and promote Pakistan’s fashion industry. In this same spirit, this year the PFDC welcomes global giant Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. as official sponsors of #PLBW2015 as black carpet hosts and official digital partners who will be introducing the much anticipated Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ and Galaxy Note5 at the event. The PFDC further welcomes premium interiors brand Marina Homes to PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week, who first partnered at #PSFW15. The brand will be introducing a new line of exotic fashion furniture through an exclusive lounge at #PLBW2015.
In continuation of their support for the platform Bank Alfalah as the Official Banking Partners and patrons of the rising talent showcase. Bank Alfalah, Marina Homes and Samsung all will be hosting a custom-designed VIP lounge at the event.
