The next designer label to follow was Nickie Nina which showcased a bridal collection titled “Neh Shikar”. The collection drew inspiration from nature and preservation of wild life and encourages the idea of a nature-loving environment. This collection took a strong stance against the hunting of animals, and encapsulating Nature and wild life — which have always been an integral part of the fashion industry. ‘Neh Shikar’ took nature as a piece of art, something that shouldn’t be harmed or disturbed but appreciated in its living existence. It also took inspiration from the traditions of our culture, making use of classic cuts from the Rajput era but with a modern spin. ‘Neh Shikar’ incorporated the signature style of Nickie Nina, the versatility of which weaves into the workmanship. A vast range of techniques, fabrics and colours were all aligned in form of a dialogue. Silk, jamawar, organza and velvets were joined with thread and zardozi to depict picturesque scenery from the natural habitats.  Nickie Nina has used traditional techniques such as zanjeera work, balochi taankas and resham work, fused with modern techniques like crystal work. This amalgamation of traditional with the modern was also seen in the colour palette, where conventional reds and maroons along with a range of modern pastels had been used. TV personality Mira Sethi participated in the designer’s showcase as a showstopper.
