The plot of HUM’s latest play Udaari, produced by Momina Duraid (MD Productions) and Kashf Foundation in collaboration with the Canadian Government brings a very serious issue onto mainstream television. The story, which unveils in Mirpur Khas highlights the complex and serious issue of child abuse, music and the taboos associated with it. Written by veteran novelist Farhat Ishtiaq and directed by Ehteshamuddin, Udaari is an intertwined story of Sajida, Zebo, Imtiaz, Rashida, Meeran and Taimoor and their struggle to redemption and glory. The serial has a stellar cast including industry veterans Bushra Ansari, Samiya Mumtaz, Behroze Sabzwari, Laila Zuberi, and rising stars Farhan Sayeed, Ahsan Khan and Urwa Hocane.
