This will be the third time that they will be paired together after Jawani Phir Nahin Ani and Dillagi.
Pakistani actor/producer Humayun Saeed has confirmed that the talented Mehwish Hayat will be seen opposite him in his upcoming movie production Punjab Nahin Jaongi. The pair first got together for 2015’s blockbuster hit Jawani Phir Nahin Ani, which was followed by 2016’s biggest television serial success so far, Dillagi. The serial, which came to an end on 10th September, peaked at 12.0 in terms of TRPs. Both actors have become fan favourites for their great on-screen chemistry and acting chops.
Punjab Nahin Jaongi will also mark the third collaboration between Humayun, Mehwish and director Nadeem Baig [Jawani Phir Nahin Ani, Dillagi]. Khalil-ur-Rehman [Pyaare Afzal, Sadqay Tumharey] has written the script for the movie.
Speaking about his working relationship with Mehwish and their working together in Punjab Nahin Jaongi, Humayun says, “She is a wonderful actress and working with her is always a delight. Our last project together, Dillagi, received a phenomenal response and I am looking forward to working with her again”.
Mehwish shared her excitement about this project by saying “I am extremely excited about being cast in Punjab Nahin Jaongi. It’s my third collaborative project with Nadeem Baig and
Humayun Saeed. The script by Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar is definitely a cherry on top. I can’t disclose much about my role yet but I can say that people who loved JPNA and Dillagi … Punjab Nahin Jaongi will be a treat for them”.
