BLUE BAND MARGARINE AND SPECIAL OLYMPICS PAKISTAN JOINED HANDS FOR A MORE INCLUSIVE SOCIETY,

Onlookers are always looking forward for such campaigns that supports our youth, therefore one of the leading brand of Pakistan Blue Band aims high to support our youth in a quite effective way through their recently launched campaign “Achai Barhnay Do”. Blue Band fulfills the daily essential requirements of vitamins and minerals that help ankle-biter to achieve their daily tasks in more efficient way.

Society has a great effect on children growth especially when it comes to their mental growth. Now a days children don’t understand the real meaning of empathy and acceptance, which are important part of our lives. That’s why Blue Band has taken this step with Special Olympics Pakistan in order to grow awareness of empathy between normal and disable kids. They organized “Both Buddy & Me” race held on 17th September at Beach Luxury Hotel. In this race each kid was paired with a differently abled kid in order to complete multiple obstacles together as a team. This pairing strategy brought kids together by vanishing the barrier of disability between them. This was an excellent platform provided by Blue Band for differently abled kids to show their skills and talent in sports.

Director Foods & Refreshment Unilever, Farheen Salman said, “This event not only brought the topic of inclusion to the forefront, but also provided the start of an actionable and meaningful movement about character development. Children are the future and we need to make every effort to nurture an environment where people of all abilities feel safe, included and accepted and are given a chance to participate to create a more tolerant and well-rounded Pakistan.”

To support this activity many celebrities joined hands with their families namely Syra Shahroz, Nida Yasir, Shahroz Sabzwari, Zhalay Sarhadi, Shaista Lodhi, Sunita Marshall, Amma Sheikh, YBQ, Muznah Ibrahim, Adnan Shah Tipu, Mohib Mirza, Amna Malik, Faysal Qureshi, Salman Sheikh and Hira, and Hassan Ahmed. The race was hosted by Faizan Haque with special performances by Khaled Anam and Asim Azhar.

Every one including Founder of Special Olympics Pakistan Ronak Lakhani appreciated this activity, she narrated “This event has been a step towards spreading awareness. It helped us celebrate inclusion and spread the goodness. Achai Barhnay Do”.

This kind of healthy and supportive activities can bring change in our socirty, hence we should support them and play active role to encourage our children. Thanks to the team Blue Band for taking such innovative step, we all are looking forward for more social campaign and activities from their side in future as well. Good Luck Team Blue Band!
