ARY Digital’s drama serial “Jalan” is under fire after every episode because of the content shown in it. From the start, people were against it and wanted PEMRA to take an action.
Today, PEMRA issued an official notification regarding this drama serial. The notice was an announcement to ban drama serial ‘Jalan’. The officials told that they had been receiving many complaints about the content of drama serial.
The notification stated:
There was a content which was against the core social and religious values.
Besides, the official notice explained that the administration of the channel was moreover clearly communicated that the content was against the social and religious values and correct it.
According to the PEMRA officials, the concerned TV did not take any step to fix its way and continued to air Drama ‘Jalan’.
Furthermore, the notification added:
All TV channels on August 18 had clearly been instructed to run dramas with content that was in accordance with the social and religious values.
