Hadiqa Kiani is a well-known singer of our Pakistani entertainment industry. She has received many awards and we all know her very well. She’s a person full of talent and creativity. Besides this, she’s a songwriter and philanthropist.
Now, she’s all set to make her debut on the tv screen with an upcoming drama serial on HUM tv titled as ‘Raqeeb Se’. In conversion with Dawn, Hadiqa revealed her experience working in this drama serial.
While sharing her first acting experience, she said:
I had a wonderful experience working with such great actors. It was a totally new world for me but Nauman told me one thing. You will have to negate your thoughts, yourself and your personality, and you have to become that character. Once you do that, you will be true to your character. I think this advice of his is going to stay with me for the rest of my life.
While shedding light about the role, she shared:
In the first glance, you’ll see Sakina contrary to Hadiqa Kiani who is supposed to be a strong, vibrant, fearless, bold woman. But deep down, I feel there’s a Sakina inside me, embedded in my soul. I felt her from the very first lines I spoke in the play, and till the end, Sakina very much lives in me. I lived with that character and I am deeply fond of her.
This drama serial was a self-exploration journey for Hadiqa Kiani. Also, she herself has composed the OST for drama serial ‘Raqeeb Se’.
Written by Bee Gul and directed by Kashif Nisan, Raqeeb Se includes Sania Saeed, Iqra Aziz, Noman Ijaz, Hadiqa Kiani and Faryal Makhdoom in lead roles.
