Instant messaging and social media platforms like WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram went down globally for more than 30 minutes on Friday 19th March.
While WhatsApp users were unable to send or receive messages, Instagram users were unable to refresh feeds.
The reason for the crash is yet unknown.
However, Facebook confirmed that its platforms were experiencing problems and the extent of the outage is being discovered.
