Pakistani actor and the nation’s crush Fawad Khan became a super duper hit after doing his debut in with Sonam Kapoor in ‘Khoobsurat’. Sonam revealed about his casting for ‘Khoobsurat’ as she said no one wanted to work with her before Fawad came onboard.
While talking to Filmfare, Sonam told:
“I can’t explain how difficult it was to make ‘Aisha’. Do you know how much effort it took to make ‘Khoobsurat’? No hero wanted to work with me because it was called ‘Khoobsurat’. I had to get Fawad Khan from Pakistan. And look at what happened. Fawad became a huge star. He had confidence.”
Fawad became famous after doing ‘Khoobsurat’ soon after we saw him rising high in films like ‘Kapoor and Sons’ and ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. Despite being a Pakistani actor, he has gained a huge fan following in India because of his exceptional. After this, he got many more offers to work in Bollywood films. However, he denied due to Indo-Pak tensions.
Sonam Kapoor moreover highlighted the struggle she has to do to get good roles in movies.
She stated:
“Initially, when I came into the industry, everyone said she ís born with a silver spoon, they alleged nepotism, etc. They didn’t know that I had auditioned for Saawariya (2007), I had auditioned for Delhi 6 (2009) and that I’ve auditioned for every film I’ve worked in.”
