One of Pakistan’s most loved animated comedy films, The Donkey King had released a new soundtrack titled Khotay Da Putter recently on Father’s Day featuring the famous singer Asrar. The song, like the movie, caught the attention of people instantly and crossed the 1 million mark on YouTube within a week of its release, which is an incredible achievement.
The Donkey King, released in October 2018, ruled the Box Office for around 25 weeks and it was loved and appreciated by people from all corners. As a result, it grossed more than 24 crores from the Box Office. Its popularity can be understood from the fact that Donkey King’s songs cumulatively have more than 52 million views on YouTube with Donkey Raja being the most popular track amongst all of the Donkey King’s songs with more than 30 million views on YouTube. The bonus track from the movie, Khotay Da Puttar is also garnering a lot of appreciation and is all set to rule the hearts and minds of people for long.
The song Khotay Da Puttar, released on 16th June 2019 on Father’s Day by Geo Films, is written by Asrar and Aziz Jindani and composed and sung by Asrar. The animation of the song has been
done brilliantly just like the movie, while the song itself is pretty compelling. It is basically an ode to all father-son relationships and conveys a strong message about the role fathers play in guiding their children to the right path.
The concept behind the song is really good and the catchy tune with some interesting lyrics and tabla in the background make it worth a listen.
