GEO TV and A&B Productions, producers of the upcoming TV serial “BASHAR MOMIN” which will air on GEO TV from 14th March 2014, held a Bloggers Meet-up at Pearl Continental Hotel in Karachi on Tuesday March 11, 2014 to reveal the look of “BASHAR MOMIN” slated as Pakistan’s highest budgeted and most expensive TV serial ever made replete with its extensive set locations, wide-ranging wardrobe budget and leading TV stars.
The first-of-its-kind event in which TV was dynamically merged with Fashion in unique synergy was specially tailored for members of the Media particularly online fashion bloggers who don’t ordinarily cover TV industry events and in which the aforementioned were able to interact and mingle with the production and fashion teams of the TV serial as well the cast.
BASHAR MOMIN an A&B Productions project is an upcoming Pakistani drama serial directed by SYED ALI RAZA USAMA renowned director of the feature film “MAIN HOUN SHAHID AFRIDI” as well as numerous TV plays like “KASH MAIN TERI BETI NA HOTI”; written by ZANJABEEL ASIM SHAH who has lettered emotionally poignant and bold scripts for the romantic fantasy drama serial ‘SAAT PARDON MEIN’; the TV serial ‘EK NAZAR MERI TARAF’ and the remade tele- film ‘ANJUMAN’ amongst other TV plays.
The cast of ‘BASHAR MOMIN’ includes TV star FAISAL QURESHI as the lead character ‘BASHAR MOMIN’. The drama serial is rounded off by respected actors SAMI KHAN, SUNDUS TARIQ, USHNA SHAH, YASIR MAZHAR and MAHEEN KHALID RIZVI.
The main themes of the suspense-filled TV drama serial include romantic love, jealousy and hate, revolving around the protagonist BASHAR MOMIN.
This is the first time a Pakistani TV channel has initiated a Blogger Meet-Up to highlight the artful juxtaposition of Fashion with TV for a creative synergy; the producers, A&B Productions fully understanding the importance of wardrobe in character development.
In this regard the production team has selected a cadre of well-respected fashion designers and fashion brands to create and manage the wardrobes of each of the characters, with each cast member being appointed their very own designer;
- FAISAL QURESHI’S wardrobe was provided by leading menswear designer AHMED BHAM.
- USHNA KHAN’S wardrobe was provided be talented women’s wear designer RANI SIDDIQUI.
- SAMI KHAN’S wardrobe was provided by respected menswear fashion brand COTTON &COTTON
- YASIR MAZHAR wardrobe was provided by innovative menswear designer HUMAYUN ALAMGIR
- MAHEEN KHALID RIZVI wardrobe was provided by artistic women’s wear designer AMBREEN KHAN.
- All Formalwear and Bridals for the drama serial was provided by RESHAM REVAJ.
- All Jewellery for the drama serial was provided by fourth generation jeweler NADIA CHHOTANI
- Shoes and Accessories for the drama serial was provided by leading shoe and accessories fashion brand SAIMA & AZMAY
Renowned hair expert, make-up artist and image consultant NABILA will spearhead the hair and make-up looks during the course of shooting the serial under the aegis of N-PRO for the beauty looks of the female actors and N-GENTS for the male actor’s grooming.
