Aashiq is a film by Asad Mumtaz and Ali Moeen. The movie’s first poster was released near the beginning of February which was eye-catching. Ever since at that time, to some extent, some details about the project have seeped out. Initially, it was revealed that the film’s subject matter revolves around a socially appropriate. However, it’s a taboo topic too, along with that Hajra Yamin and Hamza Firdous will be playing important roles. Moreover, Hamza Firdous will be seen as a journalist.
Aashiq’s production team temptingly left us to think about that one mystery cast member which wasn’t revealed from the official announcement. Finally, we have got to know that the mystery cast member is none other than Saboor Aly. She has made her name by appearing onscreen serials like Teri Meri Kahani and Kitni Girhain Baqi Hain. Aly newly joined the project, which will definitely be going to be her big-screen debut.
Apart from all this, we have some more to blow the gaff on this project. In an interview with HIP, Saboor publicized more or less to some extent about her exciting part in the film.
Aly said:
“My role is that of the female lead, and I will be playing the character of a street child who gets trapped by the begging mafia. The role charts this street child’s complete journey, about how I’m initiated into beggary, my dreams, and aspirations – about how I want to receive the education. The role provides a lot of margin for performance.”
About the movie’s tantalizing poster, Saboor stated:
“Aashiq is based on the topic of street children, the importance of education, and that these children are like any other with hopes and ambitions. We are trying to show how they are exploited by the much entrenched begging mafia present in our country.”
Regarding her expectations from the film, Saboor told:
“Whatever role I opt for, I give my hundred percent. I signed this project, because of its strong underlying social message, which I hope to channel through my character.”
After all, we have got to know the mystery behind the attention-grabbing poster. The kid featured is according to the grapevine a street child, who is clasping on to a book signifying his aspirations for a better future. We are sure to see this movie as a hit. Besides Saboor Aly, the cast includes prominent names such as Adnan Shah Tipu and Saleem Mairaj. Hajra Yamin and Hamza Firdous will play a lead role.
