We all know Maya Ali, the shining star of the Pakistani entertainment industry. She has made her name with her amazing acting skills and performances. She’s working in the Pakistani entertainment industry for 10 years.
After presenting us with two hit films like Teefa In Trouble and Parey Hut love in the last two years, Maya is coming back on our TV screens with drama serial Pehli Si Muhabbat. While having an interview with BBC Urdu, Maya shared some sneak peeks regarding her drama serial. Also, she told the reason for becoming a part of this drama serial.
While talking on the storyline of drama serial:
You won’t see typical saas-bahu fights and affairs in it. You will feel that you have heard or seen this story, because there’s a love story as evident from the title Pehli Si Muhabbat, and everyone has experienced their first love story. Some people find their first love and some people live with keeping it in their hearts.
Revealing the reason behind coming back on TV, Maya said:
When Abdullah Seja called me from I-Dreams, I thought it would be the same typical story and I would have to say no to it. I also had multiple scripts from different production houses. But he told me that it’s written by Faiza Iftikhar and Anjum Shahzad will be directing it.
Moreover, she shared:
In my ten-year career, I, unfortunately, couldn’t work with Anjum and suddenly I realised that this is the project I want to do and Anjum always does great work, Khaani being one of the most prominent. When I received the script for 10-12 episodes, I read them overnight [because I was so excited.]
Written by Faiza Iftikhar and directed by Anjum Shahzad, the cast includes Maya Ali, Sheheryar Munawwar, Saba Hamid, Nausheen Shah, Shabbir Jan and HSY.
